ZITHER OF GEORG ELSER AT THE GEORG ELSER MEMORIAL/MUSEUM IN HIS HOME TOWN OF KONIGSBRONN
10 year old Georg Elser (centre) with mother and siblings in front of his home in Konigsbronnin in 1913.
The grand hall of the Burgerbraukeller in Munich was a favored venue for Nazi functions since the failed Beer Hall Putsch of 1923.
From August to November 1939 Elser concealed himself 30-35 nights inside the beer hall to install his 'apparatus' in the pillar behind the speakers rostrum.
Hitler speaking at the Burgerbraukeller on November 8, 1939, prior to the bombing. Reconstruction of Elser's 'apparatus' is shown on right.
